Reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act is the big focus for CSNA at the national level.  Every five years the House and Senate must reauthorize the Child Nutrition Act at which time they can place into law new meal pattern requirements or extra funding.   In January the Senate committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry unanimously passed the proposed draft to the "Improving Child Nutrition, Interiority and Access Act of 2016" which is the reauthorization bill for 2016. The House committee on Education and Work Force release their proposed draft of child nutrition reauthorization.  To read more about the proposed changes go to:
